Town of Canton Volunteer Fire and EMS Department invites you to join us in a celebration and acknowledgment of the critical role Canton’s Volunteer Firefighters, EMTs and Fire Police play in response to the safety and protection of our residents, businesses and visitors.
In these especially perilous times, of the COVID 19 pandemic, when the slogan, ‘We’re All in this Together’ has never been truer, we’ve come up with a way that you can join us in an appreciation of the work we all do together in service of our community. It’s called the CantonPROUD Campaign.
Here’s How it Works
We’re asking that you create a 20 to 30 second, selfie-style video using the following format:
– State your name, title (if appropriate), your Department, Organization, Business or other Canton affiliation.
– Share a comment about your experience with our Volunteer Firefighters, EMTs and/or Fire Police members.
– Finish your video with a statement as to why your comment makes you, “CantonPROUD.”
For Example: “ Hi, my name is Jane/Joe Smith and I’m the Director of xxx here in Canton. We work with Canton’s Volunteer Firefighters and EMTs on a regular basis, to ensure that our community remains a great place to live, work and play. And that makes us, CantonPROUD!”
Another Example: “Hello, I’m Sue/John Jones and I’ve owned xxx here in Town for 10 years. Over that time, I’ve watched Canton’s ambulance and fire trucks racing down the street to help someone who is having a very bad day. Knowing Canton’s Firefighters, EMTs and Fire Police will respond – and are serving us all as Volunteers – makes me CantonPROUD.”
Once you have completed your CantonPROUD video, please email it to firefightersylvia@comcast.net, so that it can be uploaded to our Department’s social media platform.
