DISH ‘n Dat’s 8th annual Tip a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT raised nearly $1,300.00 for the Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department – a record amount for the annual event. Since 2010, DISH ‘n Dat has raised over $8,100.00 for Canton’s volunteer Fire/EMS service.
Canton’s volunteer firefighters, EMTs and Fire Police spent the day assisting DISH ‘n Dat’s professional wait staff – busing tables, delivering food and assisting behind the bar. In addition, they offered tours of Fire and EMS apparatus. A special guest appearance was made by Sparky the Fire Dog.
DISH ‘n Dat donated 25% of their customer’s food tabs for the entire day. Many customers also added their own donations into bunker boots set around the restaurant.
Craig Robbins; Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Chief: “Over the past 8 years, DISH ‘n Dat, Dan Keller and his terrific staff have been great community partners with the Department. We are grateful for both their professionalism and generosity, as well as that of the public who supports this event each year.”
Dan Keller; DISH ‘n Dat Managing Partner: ”Each year we try to do better and raise more money for Canton’s bravest. It is our commitment to both Canton’s volunteer firefighters and EMTs and the community.”
