The Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department‘s Collinsville Station held an Open House on Sunday, October 16th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The community was invited to learn a little more about the work that Canton’s volunteer firefighters, EMTs and Fire Police do on their behalf.
About 75 people, from toddlers to seniors, came to: check out EMS and Fire equipment, tour emergency apparatus and participate in a little hands-on hose training. There were stickers, helmets and tattoos for the kids in addition to an appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog.
Several new applications to join the Department were received by the close of the event.
